Is positive thinking making you sad?

When working with clients it is not unusual to encounter people struggling with feelings of failure in response to events over which they have had no control. They can be feeling really low whilst, to the rest of the world, appearing happy, positive and unflappable. Understanding that we have no direct control over anything other than our own thoughts and actions can be a step towards living a happier life.
